Tips For Motivating Weight Loss When You Just Can't Get Into It

I am going to share tips for motivating weight loss that you can use to get yourself ready to lose weight. The problem many people face is that they truly want to lose weight but they just cannot seem to get themselves motivated to change. If you can take just a couple of minutes to read this article I can share with you what research and real life cases prove to be truly motivating.

Tips For Motivating Weight Loss
1. Start each day with a win. Begin each day with an action that moves you toward your goal and you will find it easy to build motivation through the day. Start the day with exercise, a good breakfast or simply work on building a positive weight loss mindset.
2. Find a supporter. You will hit challenges along your road to a lower weight and research shows that people who have a mentor to inspire them or a friend to support them move through these challenging times with more ease and stay motivated to do and be more.
3. Stay away from fear tactics. This is a common trap that will end up sabotaging your progress. Research shows that attempting to motivate yourself to lose weight by telling yourself all the bad things that could happen if you don't lose is not a good long term motivator.
The better option is to lock your focus on the better health that comes from eating healthy and exercising regularly - this is the true motivator that works long-term.
4. Commit to one thing. Getting overwhelmed is a sure way to kill your desire to continue losing weight. Instead of trying to be perfect from the start, commit to one change such as keeping your carbohydrate grams to below 120 per day and make this one thing work. What you will find is that you gain a sense of control and easily add more to your plan.
These tips for motivating weight loss will help you build your desire and keep it going strong until you reach your goal.

Top 10 Secrets to Nip Nibbling

1. Observe: Have you ever seen another Mom eat off her children's plates? When we're able to look at something objectively we often see how we must look when we do the same thing. If you don't like how it looks, don't do it yourself. 2. Visualize: Imagine everything you've snacked on throughout the day...a few handfuls of chips while you're watching TV, a few tastes of the meal you're preparing for dinner, some cookies that were on the counter. Now imagine putting it all on a plate. How does the plate look? Visualize this plate in addition to the meals you've eaten throughout the day. 3. Distract: Often just getting involved in another activity is enough to stop you from "mindless munching". Try cleaning out a drawer, taking the dog for a walk, writing in a journal or any other activity that distracts you from nibbling and gives you pleasure.

Want Power Before Will Power

The problem isn't that you don't have enough will power to achieve what you want. You have will power, but it's not will power you need, it's want power.  You have to first want  You must want to change your habits, want to lose some weight, want to give up your evening snacking before your will comes into play. Once you want a thing badly enough, you will do whatever it takes. If you think you want something (to make a change in your eating habits perhaps), but then find it difficult to follow-through with your plans, most likely you simply want your current reality (your current habits and patterns) more than you want your goals (less weight, better health, etc.) I can hear you all the way over here, telling me I'm wrong: "No, that's not right! I want this more than anything, I just don't have any willpower!" Round and round you go, but the truth is, you will get what you really want. Think back, has there ever been a time when you rea...
