Reiki and Weight Loss: How Reiki Can Help You Control Your Weight

Reiki is not often connected with weight loss, but can be a positive addition to your weight control regime. In the modern world we are so pressurised by worries about the economy, our relationships, jobs and the news that we often eat sweet and fatty treats to soothe our feelings, help us relax and make us feel safe. As children, when we cried our parents often distracted us with sweets or biscuits to help us feel better and as adults we can often be searching for that same sense of security we felt as children in response to anxiety. Reiki is an observable system measurable only in its effects, which research has shown to decrease anxiety, help relaxation, promote restful sleep and generally improve quality of life. When we are relaxed, we obviously feel less anxious and are therefore less likely to self soothe with food.
