My Weight Loss Story

I was a fat person long ago with 200 pounds of weight, I was unhappy all the time with my weight at high school. People advised me to look for a gym and work out, exercise in order to lose the extra pounds I had. I joined a gym and started working out; the only problem I faced was to control the food I ate. I couldn't compromise on it, I kept working out (cardio exercises) to get my body into the shape, but was unsuccessful. Two months of exercise did not show me the results I wanted and I gave up, I never had the motivation from the beginning that I could really lose weight. Years passed and I kept gaining more and more weight. I started researching over the internet for weight loss tips; I researched a lot such as, pills, diets, exercises, VLCD's, and many more.

The thing which really affected me was the affirmative sentences and some motivation from my friends. I kept repeating "I can lose weight, I can do it" in the mirror whenever I had time and joined the same gym again. This time I changed a lot, I changed my whole lifestyle. I even skipped the family parties just because I wouldn't want to disturb my diet. I chose different diet-plans, read somewhere that I should keep changing my diet-plans so I did. The gym also supported me; the instructor gave me a diet chart that was something like two eggs (only the white stuff) in the breakfast, healthy snacks, healthy lunch, and low carb dinner. I kept following that diet-chart (I did change at times) and not more than two months, I saw some results and some hope into me. The pants that were too tight for me would now perfectly fit, I was happy. Didn't give up on my dieting and exercising, I did skip the exercise on Sundays. I lost 15 pounds in three months; people were amazed that I was actually losing weight. I later started on sports and activities such as cricket, squash and jogging for 30 minutes a day. My current weight is 150 pounds and I am in shape, confident and, a happy man.

Top 10 Secrets to Nip Nibbling

1. Observe: Have you ever seen another Mom eat off her children's plates? When we're able to look at something objectively we often see how we must look when we do the same thing. If you don't like how it looks, don't do it yourself. 2. Visualize: Imagine everything you've snacked on throughout the day...a few handfuls of chips while you're watching TV, a few tastes of the meal you're preparing for dinner, some cookies that were on the counter. Now imagine putting it all on a plate. How does the plate look? Visualize this plate in addition to the meals you've eaten throughout the day. 3. Distract: Often just getting involved in another activity is enough to stop you from "mindless munching". Try cleaning out a drawer, taking the dog for a walk, writing in a journal or any other activity that distracts you from nibbling and gives you pleasure.

Want Power Before Will Power

The problem isn't that you don't have enough will power to achieve what you want. You have will power, but it's not will power you need, it's want power.  You have to first want  You must want to change your habits, want to lose some weight, want to give up your evening snacking before your will comes into play. Once you want a thing badly enough, you will do whatever it takes. If you think you want something (to make a change in your eating habits perhaps), but then find it difficult to follow-through with your plans, most likely you simply want your current reality (your current habits and patterns) more than you want your goals (less weight, better health, etc.) I can hear you all the way over here, telling me I'm wrong: "No, that's not right! I want this more than anything, I just don't have any willpower!" Round and round you go, but the truth is, you will get what you really want. Think back, has there ever been a time when you rea...
